Tsipras still hopes he can avoid being part of coalition government
Despite opinion polls indicating that the elections are unlikely to produce an outright majority for SYRIZA, Alexis Tsipras continues to refuse to countenance the idea of having to form a coalition government after the January 25 vote.
Speaking in a televised interview with Star TV on Monday night, Tsipras ruled out the possibility of a post-election alliance with To Potami, PASOK or the new party formed by ex-Prime Minister George Papandreou, the Movement of Democratic Socialists.
