The government appears to have set 165 as its target for the number of MPs’ votes it hopes to garner in the first presidential ballot on Wednesday.
The number has appeared in several reports citing government sources and appears a logical goal in the wake of less than 10 independent or opposition MPs clearly declaring their intention to back the coalition’s candidate, Stavros Dimas.
